KS4 students have the opportunity to study a range of subjects within BTEC Vocational Studies including:
To gain a qualification in Vocational Studies, students will need to complete at least 3 units from the above list. All students will be required to complete the Progression Planning unit as per the requirements of the BTEC qualification.
*In addition to the BTEC unit, students can also complete a nationally recognised Food Safety certificate which can support them in gaining employment within the Hospitality and Catering sector.
"ASDAN Short Courses are flexible, portfolio-based programmes designed to accredit up to 60 hours of activity and skills development across a range of topics and curriculum areas."
ASDAN courses are an alternative way to reward the hard work and focus of those students who are not able to complete the BTEC qualification. Students are able to pick from a range of units and can receive certification for completing 10-60 hours of activities. Units recently chosen by students include vocational tasters, animal care, history, personal finance, gardening and creative arts.
